.NET Developer

Hoist Finance are currently looking to recruit a .NET Developer to join the currently growing team. This is an exciting position which will involve standardising the technology stack within the development teams and as a result bringing together the Web and Integration Platform development teams within the omni-channel functions.

Hoist Finance is represented in thirteen European countries with plans to expand into new countries and new asset classes. It is an exciting time to join the company!

As a .NET Developer you will initially be supporting an exciting migration project to refactor and move out into Microsoft Azure. The .NET developer will play a significant role in shaping how the new applications are designed, developed, and maintained, including the services and technologies utilised within Microsoft Azure, along with the support of the Lead Developer and Enterprise Architect.

Skills Needed:

• Good knowledge and experience of C#, ASP.NET and other .NET Technologies
• Good knowledge and experience of other web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.JS
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services (such as Azure App Services, Azure Functions and API Management)
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or similar
• Experience developing and supporting microservices
• Experience with developing, supporting and monitoring API's
• Experience with an ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) such as MuleSoft is desirable but not essential
• Experience with Cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
• Proficient with Visual Studio / Code
• Proven experience of migrating between platforms at speed, ensuring efficient, scalable, and maintainable code whilst also maintaining critical service uptime
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is a must

On a daily basis you will be:

• Developing and supporting the company websites
• Developing and supporting web applications and services
• Refactoring API's, migrating from one platform to another from the ground up
• Taking business requirements and developing new and existing applications
• Work closely with the Lead Developer to determine prioritises, release schedules and migrations
• The biggest initiative over the next 12 months will be migrating from our current Enterprise Service Bus, or ESB, to applicable Microsoft Azure services
• Working with Azure DevOps items, using Repo's and pipelines to deploy code
