My client, a highly successful c.100-year-old, global household name has always been at the forefront of constant innovation, improvement and penetration into alternative markets.
The brand is exceptionally strong, the product range is vast, the company have an excellent reputation in the market place and longevity of employment from their staff. The recruiting manager is very down to earth, approachable and consultative in his management style.
This is one of those very rare relationship management roles where you will spend your day visiting an established client base of major retailers to advise of any new product launches, brand awareness, answer any questions and advise on any issues their customers may be facing. The two main focuses of this role are delivering service excellent and to increase market share thus increased revenue and profitability within your managed accounts.
Your time will be split between home and field ideally visiting customers 4 days a week with a paperwork day and appointment setting day at home on Mondays, however it is down to you to effectively manage your diary. The territory is from the M62 down to the M4 so ideally you will need to be centrally based within the region. You will also be expected to attend any meetings or training in the South East Head Office from time to time.
What we are really looking for is someone who enjoys life on the road, someone who can continue to build on solid relationships with customers in a friendly but professional, consultative manner. 95% of this role is Account Management however if you can identify potential revenue streams or new customers then this would be a bonus.
We do not mind what products or services you have sold, as this is more about client engagement, growth and retention although we would like applicants to be experienced in dealing with / selling into major retailers.
