Are you an experienced Food & Beverage National Account Executive looking for a step up or a National Account Manager looking for a new challenge?! Do you want to work with some of the UKs most iconic well known confectionery brands?

Our FMCG client, comprising of two brands with a strong history and heritage who have now merged and owned by one of the largest confectionery companies in the world are seeking a National Account Manager for a 6 month FTC to support across a number of their top Grocery Retailers.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver budgeted financials across Brand and Retailer Own Brand
  • Develop compelling business plans for assigned Customer
  • Accountable for the full P&L for designated Customer
  • Carefully and judiciously manage all trade spend to ensure full r.o.i.
  • Forecasting monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Accurately manage the internal set up of all customer prices and terms.
  • Document and control key account communication - pricing, promotions, range, co-ordination of category work where applicable.
  • Lead range review negotiations with the support of the Category Manager.
  • Post analysis of activity and communication of relevant insight.
  • To be the internal face of designated customers, ensuring each department understands what is important.
  • Reporting weekly performance against budget, targets and forecast providing variance analysis.
  • Relevant account administration.
  • Plan and execute account marketing spend.
  • Cross functional project involvement both internally and external.
  • Empowered to make some day to day account decisions within boundaries

Experience needed

  • Experienced in managing food retailer accounts is preferable either as an Account Manager / Executive or similar role.
  • Uses Category insights to create a compelling selling story and to conduct reviews.
  • Managed the full P&L.
  • A good understanding of Retailer Brand management within the Grocery channel would be advantageous.

Competitive base salary plus car allowance and pro rata bonus.

Remote home based contract but travelling 2-3 times per week will be needed (either to the head quarters in Hertfordshire or the customer HOs throughout the UK).
