Title: Music Teacher
Salary Scale: £140 - £205 per day
Start Date: January 2019
GSL Education are currently seeking to appoint an outstanding Music teacher to join a friendly and dynamic Ofsted rated 'Good' school. This will be a permanent/long-term Music Teacher role starting from January 2019.
The role is at a successful 11-18 mixed comprehensive school located in the London borough of Lambeth. The school have achieved excellent results both at GCSE and at A-Level. The school is committed to providing the highest quality of learning and teaching opportunities for students, as well as excellent continuous professional development programmes for all staff.
Music is a popular subject at this school. Students at this school are taught a wide range of topics from notation to world music. There is an extensive instrumental music programme in this school that all students are encouraged to join.
The school is looking to appoint an inspirational Music Teacher who shares their belief in the highest standards of academic attainment in a comprehensive setting. The successful candidate should be an innovative and dynamic Teacher of Music who is able to teach at KS3 to KS5. Both NQTs and teachers that are more experienced are welcome to apply.

The successful candidate will:
- Be a qualified Music teacher (ideally with PGCE, GTP, B'ed, Cert Ed, BA with QTS).
- Demonstrate recent experience as a Music Teacher. (this could include PGCE placement schools)
- Hold good honours degree or equivalent in Music.
- Be proven to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high.
- Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies.
