Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Are you an electrically biased multi skilled maintenance engineer seeking a stable environment where your engineering skills and ability to do a great job will be recognised and valued? 

This profitable Leicester based manufacturing company are seeking a multi skilled maintenance engineer with excellent electrical skills to support their busy fmcg production environment.  This is a Monday to Friday double day shift role – no nights!!

As an electrically biased maintenance engineer you will join a dedicated and experienced small maintenance team in a busy production environment. Your role will be to assistant in the proactive and reactive maintenance of all plant, equipment and services, plus help in CI / Lean improvement projects across the site.

Role Details:

• Mon to Fri double days (6am – 2pm, 2pm -10pm)
• Salary up to £48k + overtime
• “on call” shift rota that you will need to work within
• 25 days holidays + Bank holidays
• Health cash plan membership
• Contributory pension

Maintenance Engineer responsibilities:

• Carry out PPMs on equipment
• Respond to breakdowns in a quick, safe and efficient manner to keep downtime to a minimum
• Suggest and implement equipment and plant improvements
• Complete documentation accurately

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified in electrical engineering to Level 3 or above.
• Skilled in electrical fault finding and maintenance
• Ideally apprenticeship trained or hold solid experience in a similar role.
• Experienced in PLC controlled systems and PLC programming
• Knowledge of automated pneumatic machinery
• Operate in a safety first approach
• Problem solving, can-do attitude.
