gap technical are proud to be representing this Manufacturing business in their search for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work at their facility based near Chester
Performance Objectives

• Servicing & repair of equipment on site.
• Carry out electrical and mechanical planned maintenance tasks without supervision
• Complete reactive /corrective actions returning equipment to standard output, quality and waste levels following fault diagnosis.
• To attend emergency breakdowns, identify faults and carry out effective repairs to all lifting equipment. These will generally be electrical problems, possibly PLC related.
• Determine cause of potential failure or performance deterioration, and complete remedial work briefing Engineering Team on issue, cause and recommended solution
• Use manuals and failure history to develop preventative tasks in line with TPM objectives.
• Brief the Engineering Manager / Lead Technician, liaising with engineering planner of the task and its purpose. Train other engineers on how to perform new tasks.

Person Specification

• Electrical and Mechanical ability essential, PLC knowledge desirable.
• Apprentice trained to ONC / HNC / C&G/NVQ Level 3.
• Able to read electrical drawings.
• Able to read Hydraulics / pneumatics circuits.
• Read and produce mechanical drawings.
• Ability to logically fault find, Knowledge of, PPS, 8D problem solving tools.
• Carried out PPM on both electrical and mechanical equipment.
• LEEA Qualifications
• Full UK driving license
