BDM Recruitment is excited to partner with a well-established, independent mortgage broker firm in Luton to find a highly motivated and experienced Mortgage Administrator to join their growing team.

About the Role:

In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of mortgage applications. You will work closely with a team of 6 whole-of-market mortgage brokers, managing a pipeline of 30-40 mortgages at any one time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, chasing outstanding information and providing regular updates on the progress of their application.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with lenders, chasing required documentation and ensuring timely application processing.
  • Meticulously review all application documents for accuracy and completeness before submission.
  • Utilise industry-standard mortgage processing systems (knowledge of "The Key" a plus, but full training provided).
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current mortgage products and lending criteria.
  • Support the broader team with additional administrative tasks as required.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience as a Mortgage Administrator (2+ years)
  • In-depth knowledge of the mortgage process from application to completion.
  • Ideally possess the CeMAP (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Proficiency in mortgage lender systems, and familiarity with software such as "The Key" is advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and lenders.
  • A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
