Lead Middleware Engineer - Data

Mcgregor Boyall's key client- a financial institution with a Senior Data Resilience Middleware Engineer position available, offering a hybrid work model across multiple locations. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support platform, infrastructure, and middleware teams in delivering resilient solutions for critical assets.
  • Provide input on middleware and ETL assessments to identify potential gaps.
  • Develop initiatives for operational resilience and change frameworks.
  • Oversee the development of data movement controls and collaborate with platform teams.
  • Lead the definition of critical batch processes.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of the Data Resilience Information Asset Register.

About the Role: As a Senior Data Resilience Middleware Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of critical data assets. Collaborate with diverse teams and leverage your expertise in infrastructure administration, middleware, and integration to mitigate risks and protect against disruptions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years of experience in infrastructure administration, middleware, and integration.
  • Proficiency in cryptographic key management and encryption deployments.
  • Familiarity with operating systems and network protocols.
  • Experience in event streaming, batch processing, and data movement tooling.
  • Strong understanding of disaster recovery principles.
  • Technical knowledge of regulatory guidelines on operational resilience.

Additional Experience: Candidates with experience in data fabric, data replication, and supporting or remediating resilience issues on critical assets are preferred.
