Microbiologist - Liverpool

Julie Marshall is recruiting for a Microbiologist to join a company in the Pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Speke, Liverpool on a contract basis for 12 months.

The main purpose of the role will be to:
Conduct stability and release testing of animal health products and water in compliance with cGMP.

Further responsibilities will include:
Bioburden & absence of specified organism testing, Environmental Monitoring of cleanrooms, Endotoxin testing, Media preparation and operation of autoclaves, Microbial Identification and maintenance of culture stocks.
Analysis to support key site validation activities in compliance with cGMP.
Maintenance of analytical equipment.
Maintaining laboratory records to current cGMP requirements.
Operating to current Environmental Health & Safety standards.

In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
You will have a BSc (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline and have some experience in microbiological / analytical testing, ideally within a pharmaceutical environment.
Experience in Microbiological testing is essential.
You will be able to work alone with minimal supervision and be able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication.
The ability to systematically troubleshoot problems and make appropriate decisions is required.
