Reporting directly to the Senior MI Analyst within the Finance Department, the MI Analyst is responsible for timely and accurate consolidation and production of key financial and commercial analyses, questioning and investigating variances.
The MI Analyst role is pivotal in ensuring a successful delivery of current and new insight requirements for the Ski, Lakes & Mountains business.
What you will be doing
The MI Analyst will work with end-users across all business functions to understand their reporting requirements, evaluating and shaping the appropriate reports to solve the business problem.
You will produce, maintain, deploy and automate daily, weekly and monthly reports which are accurate and understood by the business users.
The MI Analyst will collaborate with the MI Development Team on an on-going basis to ensure that data integrity is investigated and maintained.
Develop own analytical skills and business insight, sharing knowledge and best practice.
Deputising for the Senior MI Analyst as and when required.
Offering support to other team members within the Finance department.
What we are looking for
Experience of working with stakeholders and other developers within a BI Reporting environment to understand systems and data available for reporting
Advanced report creation in BI reporting tools , with experience writing and understanding SQL
Good working understanding of Excel, PowerPoint and Word applications - understanding VBA would be advantageous
Capability to transform raw data to provide insight, using tools such as PowerBI
Ability to work under pressure and ensure deadlines are met
Passion for numbers and analysis, has desire to innovate and improve existing processes
Strong team player
Good working knowledge of 'travel' data and reservation systems
