Metallurgy Laboratory Technician

Job Role: Laboratory Technician
Location: Manchester
Shift: Days Only
Salary: £20,000 - £23,000 Per Annum (DOE)

Metalis is working in partnership with a specialist manufacturing company in Manchester who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a Laboratory Technician on a permanent contract.

Job Duties:

• Provides testing function for all intermediate and finished products.
• Tests products to customer requirements and internal specifications.
• Liaise with technical department in the event a concession or a rejection/rework is required when a product does not conform to specifications.
• Provides general backup to production.
• Enters data information into the database which in turn permits production with an archive and permits certificates of analysis to be produced.
• Performs the function of pre-mix setups and issues to production the product pre-mix/formula.
• Retests pre-mix when products have been manufactured.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned

Job Requirements:

• Ideally experience working within either an industrial laboratory or scientific manufacturing environment
• Data analysis and following SOPs
• Working to GMP or similar quality standards
• Ideally a degree or higher in a relevant scientific subject

Salary & Shift:

• Day shifts
• Flexible working hours within opening times
• Monday to Friday
• £20,000 - £23,000 Per Annum depending on experience
• All PPE provided
