£24,000 - £32,000 pro rata (39 weeks a year) Mon - Friday, 9.30am - 4.00pm

Manchester Staff is currently looking for talented Mentors / Learning Support Assistants or Youth Workers to join a fast-growing client based in Manchester. You must have a valid driving licence to travel to students’ locations around the Greater Manchester area, although often these students will be the most local to you. The successful Mentor or Learning Support Assistant will join a flourishing company within the education sector where they can offer training, development and progression opportunities. The role offers a great opportunity for somebody passionate about supporting young people and help them develop the social, vocational and academic skills required for working and general life.

The role will be based in the community and you will be paired 1 on 1 with a young person where you will create bespoke daily 3 hour sessions to suit their needs. You will pick them up from home or school and will drop them off at the same location.

Job Role & Requirements: The successful candidate will have excellent communication, support skills and a high level of empathy.

- Ideally 1+ years’ experience working with young people in an education, care or coaching setting.

- Experience working with SEND or SEMH young people.

- Strong knowledge of safeguarding processes

- Good English & Maths skills.

- Functional IT Skills

- Educational, Vocational, Care or Sports Coaching background desirable

- Reliable & self-motivated.
