Mechanical Service Engineer (Offshore)

£31,000 (Rising to £40,00 after 6 months) + Offshore Rates + Specialist Industry Training+ Pension

Are you a mechanically biased Engineer looking to join a company that will put you through extensive training to become an expert in their industry with Offshore work? You will have the opportunity once trained to dramatically increase your earnings through premium offshore rates.

The company are leaders within the specialist aviation fuelling industry and prides themselves on their robust training programme given to all new employees and its ability to provide the best possible quality of service to its customers.

In this role, you'll be building upon your mechanical experience, and training up to become an offshore engineer. This will involve training on maintaining refuelling equipment on offshore ship/rigs to working within tank filling facilities.

The ideal candidate will have some mechanical experience looking to broaden their skills and begin a career in offshore. They'll be enthusiastic about the field of work, with strong attention to detail and a high work ethic with the desire to develop and grow within a business.

This opportunity would be ideal for a mechanical engineer ideally from a fluid background - ideally a plumbing, gas, jet aviation or ex-military background. On offer the chance to receive specialist industry training as well as being put through offshore courses.

The role:

• Extensive training period to begin with based onshore in Aberdeen (this could take 3-6 months)
• 180 days offshore as a trained specialist engineer
• Working on specialist offshore fuelling systems (mostly UK North Sea based - with opportunity to travel further afield)
• On call (standard rotation is 3 days offshore followed by a week off)

The Person:

• Mechanical engineering background, ideally worked with fluids
• Suitable for ex-plumbers, gas engineers or ex-armed forces
• Prepared to work away from home on a regular basis (will be given notice beforehand but flexibility is essential)
• Desire to work offshore
