Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

Location: Leicestershire, LE4

Shift: 7am - 3pm (Mon - Fri)

Salary: £14 - 16.50 per hour

Benefits: Full time permanent position, overtime available, onsite free parking

The Company:

A Leicestershire based specialist in the quarry and construction industry are looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join their team.

The Candidate:

  • Minimum 12 months experience working in a Manufacturing or Construction.

  • Have access to own tools to use alongside company tools.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Be flexible and willing to work as part of a team.

  • Good level of fitness, (heavy lifting involved.)

  • Able to work in all weather in an outdoor environment.

  • Demonstrate good time management and project management skills.

The Mechanical Fitter Role:

Supporting the senior fitting team, the role will predominantly be servicing and repairing machinery and new plant equipment:

  • Identifing hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, laws, working practices and health and safety.

  • Site preparation and clearance, and maintaining general site tidiness - assisting in maintaining site security.

  • Ensure compliance with agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety.

  • Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including those relating to hygiene, respect for other team members, time keeping and flexibility.
