I am looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work in the Deptford area. The perfect applicant will have knowledge and experience working on projects within wastewater or water treatment.

Role: Mechanical Engineer - AP

Location: Deptford

Contract: Freelance

Rate: £500- £530 per day (PAYE)

When: ASAP

Duties will include:

• Understanding of technical MEICA works
• Control panels and control systems experience
• Designing of wastewater M&E assets (e.g. Pumping Stations, CSO's & associated civil structures etc…)
• Oversee budget reviews with the contract delivery teams.
• Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensuring that all relevant health and safety documents are correctly recorded
• Checking that all relevant documents adequately describe the work to be carried out
• Supervising work to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with method statements and work Instructions from the project manager
• Recording the progress of works on record drawings or other suitable means when required
• Recognising the health and safety considerations are central to all tasks and contribute to ensure safe working environments for all
• Actively supporting the Site Manager to maintain and enforce safety standards as required by statute and in accordance with Safety Policies
• Recording all non-conformance and improvement opportunities and agree action with the person in charge of the works

Skills Required:

• Having a strong background of working within the water industry.
• CSCS qualified for managing safely.
• Safe delivery of water projects to time, cost and quality.
• HND/Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
• Confident working in a team and adapting to more responsibilities.

Skills Desirable:

• Ambitious and dynamic personality
• Experience of working on Water Industry construction projects, preferably with experience of large and complex deliveries
• Someone with a commitment to right first time
• Ideally have 5 years water experience
