We're looking for an experienced, problem solving Mechanical Design Engineer with exposure to AutoCAD / Inventor. Working in a busy, small & successful team on a wide and diverse range of projects this Mechanical Design Engineer / Structural Engineer role, based at our site in Northampton, could be the next step in your design career.
 
BASIC SALARY: Up to £50,000

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Structural Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer : AutoCAD / Inventor
 
Office based with occasional site visits across the UK - you will take on each project at an early stage and provide Mechanical Design / Structural Engineering Design support across that project from cradle to grave.
 
Working from the Northampton based office, you will be utilising AutoCAD and Inventor (as a Mechanical Design / Structural Design Engineer) to design and dimension fabrication drawings on projects based on a client's specifications.  You will also, on occasion, be visiting customer sites across the UK.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Structural Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer : AutoCAD / Inventor
 
The successful applicant should have:
 
· Proficiency in AutoCAD / Inventor
· A practical awareness of fabrication / site constraints, a keen eye for detail and a broad ability to comprehend the wider issues that may influence the work in hand
· Good motivation and the discipline to work unsupervised are key requirements, along side excellent communication and organisational skills
· An understanding of structural design
