As a Meat Trader, you will be responsible for sourcing the best quality meats from trusted suppliers, negotiating deals, and building relationships with key industry players. You will also be responsible for maintaining the company's high standards for quality and sustainability.

Responsibilities will include:

• Managing customer relationships and negotiations whilst ensuring delivery schedules are met and quality standards are achieved.
• Playing an integral part in ensuring that customers’ expectations are met in full and on time.
• Managing the sourcing of new products against NPD projects or trial products
• Sourcing new customers.
• Monthly reporting and high-quality analysis.
• Building and developing working relationships with the wider sales team.
• Working within credit control guidelines to provide debt management information.
• Being an expert resource to work with colleagues to achieve sales targets.

What we are looking for:

• An experienced Meat Trader with a proven track record of delivering volume sales within a trading desk.
• Experience in sourcing meats from Europe the UK and beyond.
• Strong knowledge of product categories and the ability to build long-lasting, strong relationships.
• Ability to develop good working relationship with managers in other areas of the business to deliver the common goals of the business in terms of profitability and provision of agreed service levels.
• Good communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Sound working knowledge of sales and the supply chain.
• The ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail.
• A strong understanding of the meat industry.
• Computer literacy and experience of sales order processing.
