Hays Education are representing a South Leicester based secondary school that are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic KS3/KS4 Maths Teacher to join their team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the national curriculum and be able to deliver engaging and challenging lessons. As this is a long-term job, you will have full teaching responsibilities, including planning and marking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all students.
• Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress and assessment results.

You will need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4.
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff.
• The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
