Position: Maths Teacher
Location: Luton
Salary: Main Pay Scale 1 (MPS1) - Upper Pay Scale 3 (UPS3)
Start Date: September 2024
School Rating: Ofsted 'Good'
GCSE Performance: 62% A-C for 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 and above
Behavior: Excellent behaviour among students

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons to students at the secondary level
  • Support students' progress and attainment in Mathematics
  • Contribute to the overall improvement of Mathematics teaching within the school
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement effective teaching strategies
  • Participate in departmental meetings and school-wide initiatives
  • Provide feedback on students' work and participate in assessment and reporting processes

Requirements:

  • Clear evidence of successful secondary teaching experience up to September 2024
  • Understanding of effective teaching principles
  • Ability to motivate, engage, and progress pupils from diverse backgrounds
  • Familiarity with teaching Mathematics at various levels
  • Excellent subject knowledge in Mathematics
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
