You must be a positive rolemodel for all staff in the Maths curriculum area and hold high expectations of students and staff alike. First and foremost, you will be an outstanding Maths Teacher and be able to demonstrate you are able to effectively lead and mentor other members of the Maths Faculty. About the Second in Maths Department role
Working under the leadership of an experienced Head of Maths Department, you will be involved in the process of ensuring schemes of work are planned, implemented and meet the needs of students. You will be involved in enriching the Maths curriculum through organising booster classes, trips and extra-curricular activities. Accurately reporting on student progress and ensuring work is marked and assessed regularly and effectively will also fall under your remit as Second in Maths Department.
