In addition to mathematical modelling you will also be required to meet with customers to gather requirements and discuss solutions, specify research required (external specialists are used where appropriate) and communicate information to other stakeholders.
As the company work with Defence organisations applicants must be British and due to the highly technical nature of the work a history of high academic achievement is essential – mostly A grade A levels followed by an Engineering, Maths, Physics or similar degree and/or MSc /PhD.
Skills should include post-graduate research experience in mathematical modelling topics relevant to engineering;
- Modelling and/or control of dynamical systems;
- Operational modelling and/or operational research;
- Supportability modelling;
- Software engineering
