The client is a renowned manufacturer in the FMCG industry, boasting a robust team of over 500 employees. Based in Leigh, they are committed to delivering high-quality products to consumers across the globe.

Description

As the Materials Planner you will be responsible for:

  • Manage and optimise the raw materials planning process for c300 SKUs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Liaise with production teams to align supply with demand.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Support the procurement team in negotiating contracts and prices.
  • Implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and forecast future supply needs.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Profile

The successful Materials Planner should have:

  • Proven experience in a planning role within manufacturing and ideally the FMCG industry.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in using supply chain management software.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.

Job Offer
