Markets Assistant

Ashfield District Council have a great opportunity for a Markets Assistant to join us working at the outdoor markets in Kirkby-in-Ashfield. You will join us on a part time, permanent basis working 8 hours per week, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £5,081 to £5,166 per annum (pay award pending).

You will join a team of Market Assistants who erect and dismantle market stalls, dispose of refuse and liaise with market traders and the public.  

You must be capable of handling heavy equipment, be prepared to work outdoors and be able to deal with people calmly and tactfully.  A full UK driving licence is required. 

The work involves split shifts mainly Mondays and Fridays but some Saturdays; starting as early as 5.00 or 6.00 a.m. or finishing as late as 6.00 p.m.
