Marketing Planner

Marketing Planner
Start date: ASAP
Salary: £25,000 pa

As Marketing Planner for Services, you will be responsible for working with a number of different teams within the organisation to understand their priorities and aligning it with our corporate marketing plan. Putting the customer at the heart of your decisions you will ensure that we are providing relevant content for our marketing that will also drive business growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Engage with key stakeholders to gain understanding of their business priorities
  • Review secondary research, insights, customer trends, past performance autopsy and competitor landscape to inform decisions on development of marketing solutions activities. Gather inputs from Customer Insight, Commercial, Operational and Marketing teams to be included in the briefs
  • Work closely with the wider marketing teams to understand what channels are used for customer communication and help define processes, ways of working and best practice
  • Support the Senior Manager in all aspects of research, planning, prioritising and aligning 'Services' activity with the rest of the customer function

Essential skills and experience:

-Marketing generalist
-Knowledge of marketing channels, events, campaigns etc.
-Ability to use customer insight to drive meaningful actions
-Strong organisational and communication skills
-Ability to build relationships cross functionally, challenge and drive stakeholder alignment
-Passion for the customer
-Ability to work at pace and with great attention to detail and produce compelling outputs
-Ability to multi-task and reprioritise
-A pro-active self-starter who can independently spot and act upon opportunities

-Prepare the prioritised marketing activities by categories and support formulation of marketing plan under the direction of Senior Management or Senior Directors

-Analyse data related to customer strategy, customer insights, market trends, past performance autopsy, competitor information, market research, conversion rates, traffic etc.)

- Follow up and collect data from commercial teams on product nominations, prices, and supplier / brand details as required to be included in the briefs

-Communicate to various teams (commercial, finance, operations) on data required

-Support communication of marketing briefs to creative teams

-Participate in annual brand planning cycle and P&L setting process for assigned own brands

-Track own brand specific metrics and quality perceptions (with inputs from Insights)
