Bell Cornwall is seeking a Marketing Lead on behalf of our client. This role, based in Birmingham with regular travel to their London office (expenses covered), is ideal for someone with strong bid writing skills and a strategic mindset. Approximately 70% of this role involves bid writing, requiring a candidate who excels at drafting compelling proposals, tender documents, and RFPs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with partners to create and deliver the marketing plan, with a primary focus on bid writing and strategy.
• Draft competitive bids, tenders, and other business development documents to support client acquisition and retention.
• Manage end-to-end coordination of specific events, including objective setting, execution, and post-event analysis.
• Act as the support lead for client business development meetings, often working under tight deadlines.
• Coordinate attendance at industry events and manage the company's social media presence (Twitter and LinkedIn).
• Ensure all staff profiles, client experiences, and capability documents are current and ready for proposals.

About You: You should be a strategic thinker with a focus on achieving measurable results. Strong bid writing skills are essential, along with a proven ability to create winning proposals and tenders. Additionally, you must be able to handle a high-pressure environment with professionalism and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Experience in bid writing and proposal development, with a strategic approach to business development.
• The ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with partners and stakeholders.
• A professional demeanour, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong organisational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with InDesign (preferred but not required).
• A degree or CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing is desirable but not essential.
