This organisation operate within a larger healthcare context, working towards addressing a significant public health challenge working within a wider public sector organisation. Through a combination of advocacy, research and community collaboration, the organisation aims to raise awareness and promote healthier living in society.

Due to project deadlines and many upcoming events, there is scope to bring in an Events & Marketing Assistant for a part time contract, for a duration of 10-12 weeks.

In this role you will provide administrative, events and communications support to the organisation. Responsibilities will include:

  • Organising and executive assistance to the head in efficient running of the unit including diary, correspondence, spreadsheet and database management
  • Organising and co-coordinating events, meetings, media and communications
  • Managing organisation's digital media platforms and social media posts
  • Tracking and monitoring unit finances and preparing financial reports
  • Producing minutes and records of meetings
  • Liaising with a variety of external stakeholders
  • Updating and streamlining organisational database

Previous experience in an all round Marketing, Communications or events role is preferred. You will be paid an hourly rate of £12.21 per hour and be paid weekly via weekly time sheets. The hours are roughly 19 hours per week but this can be higher on some weeks with events taking place. Please note there will be occasional weekend work.
