Manual Machinist

Manual Machinist required for my client based in Aberdeen who work within the oilfield equipment manufacturing industry.

Manual Machinist Position Overview

• The Manual Machinist will carry out all aspects of machining work required on new products and client supplied equipment utilising machines as detailed in route sheet instructions.
• Machine manufacture of products to controlled drawings and route sheet instructions machine preparation of valves and equipment for welding.
• Machine finishing of valves and equipment after welding and PWHT.
• Maintaining traceability at all stages of production maintenance of machines being operated ensure good housekeeping is maintained in all areas.
• Specifically, area of machine being operated.
• In process inspections as required on any item being manufactured or re-worked.
• Carry out daily maintenance routines on machines.
• Carry out any additional tasks within capabilities as directed by the workshop supervisor or management.

Manual Machinist Position Requirements

• Experience in operation of manual machines - horizontal borer preferred.
• Fully qualified / time served is essential.
• Based within a commutable distance of Aberdeen.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Manual Machinist Position Remuneration

• Salary - £19.94 per hour.
• 8-hour shift / 40-hour week with ½ hour unpaid lunch break.
• Day Shift - 08:00am to 16:30pm Monday to Friday.
• Holiday package - 30days including bank holiday.
• Overtime options.
• Weekend availability option.
• Company pension scheme + other benefits.
