SME Accounts / Advisory Manager position within a Mid-Tier Chartered Practice offering the opportunity to manage a n SME client portfolio and progress your career to Partner.

THE OPPORTUNITY

A new Manager opportunity has arisen within the firm which offers long-term career progression to Director and involves responsibility for managing a portfolio of SME clients and leading and developing a team of Junior, Semi-Senior and Senior Accountants.

As a Manager within the SME Accounts / Advisory team your role will involve:

• Managing a portfolio of growing Owner-Managed and SME clients (c.£100k - £5m t/o), working closely with business owners and meeting regularly to discuss successes and ongoing challenges
• Managing a team of Client Accountants and overseeing delivery of VAT / Bookkeeping, Year End Accounts and Business Advisory solutions to all clients within your portfolio
• Preparing Management Accounts, Business Analysis reports and Cashflow Forecasts for clients
• Handling staff appraisals and reviews, managing budgets and delivering growth in client work and revenue
• Reviewing Annual Accounts prepared by team members and leading regular meetings with clients

THE PERSON

You will be an Accountancy professional able to demonstrate the following:

• ACA / ACCA Qualified
• Background within Accountancy Practice (c.4 - 5 years at least), with particular focus on advising SME and Owner-Managed businesses
• Experience of Management Accounts, Cashflow Forecasts and Year-End Accounts / Compliance work
• Experienced in the use of Xero and other Cloud Accounting systems
• Ambition and career drive to progress within a versatile growing Accountancy & Advisory Firm.
