Reed Finance are partnering with an exciting and rapidly expanding company based on the outskirts of Sunderland.  Well established and with a great reputation this client is a market leader in their field offering a great opportunity in a dynamic environment.

As a Senior Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, analysing data, and providing strategic insights to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with department heads to analyse cost structures and optimise resource allocation.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial projections.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Support the year-end audit process.
  • Mentor and guide junior members of the finance team.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in management accounting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
