Management Accountant
This role is seeking a diligent Management Accountant with a keen eye for detail, who is capable of managing financial processes and delivering accurate reports in a timely manner within the Energy & Natural Resources sector. Based near Chester, the successful candidate will be a vital part of our clients growing Accounting & Finance team in the North West, reporting to their finance team in the South.

As a newly appointed Management Accountant you will be collaborating with the finance business partner as well as senior stakeholders, driving the finance division in the North.
Description
The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:
- Preparation and presentation of monthly financial reports
- Management of budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensuring compliance with internal and external financial policies
- Preparation of year-end financial statements for subsidiary entities and liaison with the external
auditors to ensure they are ready for signing prior to the filing deadlines - Collaborating with other departments to improve financial procedures
- Analysis of financial data to assist in decision making
- Development of junior team members
- Active participation in strategic planning
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- Ideally working towards an accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Candidates who are suitably qualified by experience will be considered for this role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Proficiency in financial reporting software
- Ability to work autonomously and independently due to the small team
- Experience and willingness to report to an offsite based manager
- Openness to be working in an industrial environment
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamworking skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
