High growth FinTech business, based in Manchester City Centre, have created a new role for a Management Accountant to join their growing Head Office. Following recent investment and expansion into global markets, the role has been created to support the Finance Director and expect that the role will develop into a Financial Controller role in line with the business growth plans. 

Key responsibilities
Working closely with the Finance Director you will be pivotal in managing various financial functions. You will provide and explain accurate & timely financial performance information to key stakeholders and be responsible for the budget & forecast preparation, along with the cashflow management & reporting management.
  • Oversee month-end reporting activities, managing general ledger transactions, adjustments, and reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly management accounts
  • Prepare financial reports, budgets and cashflow forecasts
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performance
  • Develop and maintain an integrated financial performance report, including analysis of trends and forecasts
  • Provide financial guidance and support to both management and business stakeholders
  • Oversee accruals, prepayments, and a small aspect of purchase/sales ledger
  • Monitor and reconcile daily trades to ensure the accuracy and compliance
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures and controls
  • Identify areas for cost control and improvement through financial analysis
  • Lead efforts to continuously improve financial processes and reporting for increased efficiencies and opportunities
  • Lead, support and advise the business stakeholders on financial processes

Key Skills preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or studier
  • Previous experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
  • Strong written, oral communication, interpersonal skills, numerical and analytical skills
  • Strategic thinker and ability to contribute at all levels
  • Confidence to support other areas of the business from a financial perspective and drive change
