The job;
As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insights, analysis, and support to facilitate informed decision-making within the organization. You will be responsible for overseeing various financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make a significant impact on our company's financial performance.

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary, to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to develop accurate projections and monitor performance against targets.
  • Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements across projects and departments.
  • Maintain fixed asset registers, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare financial reports for stakeholders, including management reports, cash flow statements, and financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in management accounting, implementing changes as necessary to enhance financial processes and controls.

The person;

  • Professional accounting qualification or part qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • Proven experience in the construction or property development industry.
