Management Accountant

Management Accountant | Chester | £50,000 - £60,000

An opportunity to join a private equity backed business with a fantastic reputation and a strong national presence. This role will work closely with the Finance Director and will offer broad exposure across financial and commercial accounting.

Ideally suited a Qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) Accountant who currently lacks a clear progression pathway towards leadership.

Main duties will consist of;

• Production of monthly board packs
• Detailed variance reporting and regular stakeholder interactions to discuss divisional responsibilities
• P&L management
• Develop existing commercial reporting tools – aimed to add value to decision making at c-suite level
• Enhance current cash flow reporting procedures, providing clearer data
• Monthly close down of control accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Submission of VAT and responsibility for non UK tax as well as FX
• Year end statutory account production
• Provide support/oversee external audit process

Candidate profile;

• Qualified – essential
• Prior technical/statutory reporting experience advantageous
• Ability to work in a fast paced/PE environment
• Desire to build a team or develop management responsibilities
