Dot Recruit are proud to represent our client in their search for a new Management Accountant. Our client is a not for profit organisation based in Preston, providing support services to those in need.

They were founded over 40 years ago and have an excellent reputation in their field as well as strong partnerships with Local Authorities to aid them in delivering their services. If you’re an experienced management accountant who loves to identify opportunities for improvement or processes that could be implemented to make life easier - this could be the role for you!

This role really is the definition of a challenging but rewarding role!

Main duties:

  • Business partner with wider areas of the business, providing support and advice which will contribute to the development strategy of each department
  • Provide financial reports and analysis to the senior management
  • Identify any financial risks and opportunities and maintain company risk register.
  • Identify areas where processes and controls could be improved and work with relevant staff to implement and review any approved changes.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly accounts and reports.
  • Administration of the staff payroll including the maintenance of accurate and up to date records and liaison with our external payroll company
  • Manage and develop junior members of the finance team.
  • Develop and implement effective systems and processes for accounting, invoicing, debt management and investment of company funds.
  • Undertake specific project work.

This opportunity will be great for you if…

  • You are CIMA/ACCA qualified or are a finalist
  • You have excellent Microsoft Excel skills (Essential)
  • You have had experience in implementing new processes or new systems
  • You are an ideas person, eager to learn and willing to explore new ways of working
