An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-qualified Costing/Management Accountant to join a dynamic team on a 12-month fixed term contract, with the potential to go permanent.

* Chance to collaborate with the Product Management team on new product development and customer tenders.
* Flexibility of working from home up to 40% of the time after a qualifying period.

What you'll do:

As a Costing/Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial accuracy within the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a mix of costing, reconciliation, analysis, and reporting tasks. Your analytical skills will be put to good use as you produce monthly plant financials and analyse key movements in inventory balances.
* Costing new products and authorising through system workflow procedures.
* Preparing monthly reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts including GRNI, Stock in transit and inventory accounts.
* Identifying, analysing and reporting on monthly manufacturing cost variances, PPV & freight.
* Working closely with the Product Management team to assist with new product development and customer tenders.
* Producing monthly plant financials, analysing actual performance versus forecasts.
* Reporting using Atlas and BI Pyramid to analyse key movements in inventory balances.
* Completing quarterly standard cost updates ensuring all new costs are accurate.
* Assisting in the annual budgeting process including calculating revised overhead absorption rates.
* Maintaining the Costing e-mail inbox answering any costing queries in a timely manner.

What you'll need:
* Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent qualification is essential.
* Excellent Outlook and Excel skills are required.
* Experience with an ERP system, preferably SAP is desirable.
* Strong communication skills with all levels of personnel are necessary.
* Ability to identify, analyse and report on monthly manufacturing cost variances.
* Experience in preparing monthly reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts.
* Knowledge of Atlas and BI Pyramid for reporting purposes.
