Management Accountant

Your new company
This fashion company based in Manchester are looking for a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. This company has experienced strong growth within the marketplace as well as acquiring new businesses.
Your new role
On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Manage the month-end process to deliver timely and accurate information.
• Balance Sheet reconciliation and journals
• Accruals and Prepayments
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register
• Assist in stock control
• Management of group companies accounts including raising invoices, bank payments and accounts production
• Quarterly VAT returns
• To assist in other ad hoc tasks and provide cover to other finance members when required.
• Ensure data is accurate, on time, and within the rules set. When there is a discrepancy - spot it, figure it out, follow up
• Aid, the Finance Manager, shape the future of the accounts department
• Link operational actions with financial results
• Help drive execution in the business
• Build good relationships amongst colleagues - mid & senior management to drive through projects

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have good all round accounts experience to ensure you can adapt to the different tasks that are assigned. You must have a can-do attitude to ensure the finance function operates at maximum efficiency. Additionally, if you have SAP or stock / fashion industry experience then this will be highly advantageous to your application.
