Management Accountant

• Annual Salary: Up to £45,000

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our well established client.  This role offers a fantastic opportunity to engage in a real and active partnership between operations and management, providing month-end accounts, insightful analysis, and reporting.

• Lead month-end accounting processes and conduct financial performance reviews.
• Analyse financial data to provide insightful information for effective decision-making.
• Collaborate with department heads, empowering them to manage financial decisions through support and education, and build strong relationships across the business.
• Manage annual budgeting in line with strategic plans and conduct monthly forecasting.
• Provide variance analysis and recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct financial planning and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Develop, improve, and maintain financial reporting and dashboards to monitor business performance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities to unlock value within the team.
• Evaluate financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues.
• Support the business in the preparation of business cases, assessing financial feasibility, and monitor and report on the performance of changes, including post-implementation reviews.
• Perform financial analysis and modelling.

• Proven experience in a fast-paced, complex financial organisation delivering accurate results and analysis on time.
• Experience in the preparation of business cases and management accounts.
• Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or nearly qualified / qualified by relevant experience.
• Experience in senior stakeholder engagement and change management.
• Ability to operate confidently in a financial environment, analysing and interpreting financial information for decision-making and risk assessments.
• Skilled in providing customer-focused reporting using both finance and non-finance information.
• Proven experience in presenting and translating finance data to non-financial managers.
• Excellent communication, data interpretation, and engagement skills.
