Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating closely with the Head of Finance to develop board packs, fostering accountability and aiding decision-making.
• Generating management accounts, conducting variance and trend analysis.
• Monitoring and reporting on monthly stock audits, identifying discrepancies and potential shortages.
• Ensuring monthly balance sheet reconciliations are accurate, investigating differences.
• Investigating manufacturing variances and assisting with audits and statutory accounts.
• Producing weekly sales reports, aligning with forecast/budget.
• Preparing quarterly VAT/Plastic Packaging returns and enhancing accounting processes.
• Taking ownership of product costings and contributing to cashflow statements.
• Developing profitability reports for customers and products.
• Overseeing Credit Control/Purchase Ledger management and providing cover for annual leave.

Successful Candidate:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with relevant professional experience.
• Previous exposure to month-end duties, including reconciliation and variance analysis.
• Driven to develop and learn, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Analytical thinker with problem-solving capabilities.
