Our client is a global manufacturing business who is looking to bolster its Finance function by recruiting for a Management Accountant.

The Role

  • Reporting to the Site Financial Controller, the post holder will be responsible for applying the financial policy defined by the Group
  • Key contribution into the weekly, monthly and quarterly accounting cycle
  • Forecasting both site P&Ls and cashflow
  • Analysing and preparing financial information for presentation to financial and non-financial staff
  • Aid with budget preparation
  • Carrying out management control for the activities in their scope
  • Help consolidate the management of the Group's accounts and ensure the reliability and application of the Group’s management procedures and standards.
  • As well as weekly cost reporting, the Management Accountant will act as Project Manager for specific projects, such as ERP implementation, news sites, site reorganisation, financial team reorganisation and cash/WCR optimisation etc.

The Person

  • This role is suited to someone ideally with manufacturing or engineering sector experience
  • Ideally degree qualified or equivalent in a Finance related course
  • Qualified by experience or close to completing profession accounting qualifications in either ACCA, ACA or CIMA
  • Experience in cost accounting
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ambitious to develop their career further within the organisation.
