About the role

As a Maintenance Technician you will be required to support the Resource department. Reporting to the Head of Resource, this position will cover many aspects of building maintenance, pool maintenance, gardening, fleet and compliance testing. Daily duties of the role will include general maintenance which will require you to use power tools and testing equipment. Training will also be given to the successful candidate which will be of all aspects of health and safety, COSHH and you will learn about compliance and legalities throughout a large campus.

This role is 35 hours per week with working hours flexible. You will also be required to be 'on call' to cover emergencies out of hours.

About you

You will be a self-starter who is competent to work on his/her own at times, you will also have a full clean driving license. Due to the nature of the role, which is physically demanding, you must have a good level of fitness and a positive 'can-do' attitude which is essential. As a Maintenance Technician, it will be expected that you are a person of integrity by maintaining full confidentiality. You must also have good communication and interpersonal skills plus have a flexible approach to working. The ability to be able to prioritise a varied workload is also needed and the ability to work as part of team when necessary.
