In this role, you will be working a mix of early late and night shifts as part of the Surface Mount Production Engineering Dept. participating as part of a small technical team providing maintenance and breakdown cover of electro/mechanical automatic surface mount machinery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Repairing of surface mount machinery.
Continuous TPM (total productive maintenance) activities.
Investigating product quality.
Monitoring machine performance rates.
Fault finding/root cause analysis
Writing technical reports and communicating any problems to the relevant people.
Basic machine shop tools and hand tools
Test & measurement equipment, for example, DVM, etc.
PC based software tools: MS Office
Skills and attributes:
Understanding of circuit board assembly machines
Understanding of electrical circuit diagrams
A sound mechanical competency is required
Plus the personal skills to work within a demanding production / target driven environment
Knowledge and experience:
Good aptitude for complex and technical operations.
Ability to work as part of a team and under own initiative.
Able to communicate at all levels, write technical reports.
Qualified to ONC/HNC engineering discipline.
