Your role with us

Hours of work are a standard day shift Monday to Friday and you will also be required to participate in the out of hour’s emergency callout rota.

You will be carrying out Electrical works and will have a variety of installations, testing and emergency repair work, alongside cyclical and planned maintenance in your daily schedule. All works will be issued via the CAFAM system ensuring that they are prioritised and planed works based on the department SLA and geographical location. Work to maximising a one visit fix KPi and thereafter minimise the number of additional visits to complete the works in the shortest time. This may include some working at heights and in enclosed spaces.

  • Work to a world Class customer service with the objective of exceeding SLA’s and Kpi’s both with regard to quality and completion of all work.
  • Adopt a continuous improvement approach to all aspects of St Andrew’s maintenance whilst working within the budget guidelines of the department. Report any defects, improvement or reactive works required to the shift manager.
  • Maintain a compassionate and flexible working approach to our patients and ward staff.
  • Assist in the supervision of sub-contractors as required

Your profile

you will be pro-active in problem identification and solving and be a strong and efficient communicator, able to work effectively as part of a team and on your own. You will have a flexible approach to working, participating in our multi skilling training matrix.

Essential

  • City & Guilds / NVQ 2 & 3 (Fully qualified electrician)
  • City & Guilds 2382-10 NVQ 18th Edition
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Demonstrable and proven experience of working "hands-on" in an Electrical/ Building Services & maintenance environment
  • Practical experience of M & E Planned Maintenance and Electrical Maintenance
  • Up to date knowledge of Health and Safety legislation

Desirable

  • City & Guilds 2391-20 Certification of Electrical Installations
  • City & Guilds 2377-3 PAT Testing
  • BSC(Level 1) Health & Safety
