Machining Team Leader
Location: Doncaster
Department: Production
Shifts: Days / Afters (MTO), Days Only (MTS)
Reports to: Machining Department Manager

Are you an experienced leader with a strong background in manufacturing or machining? We’re looking for a Machining Team Leader to oversee daily operations in our machine shop across both Make to Order (MTO) and Make to Stock (MTS) teams.

In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll drive performance, safety, and quality while ensuring production plans are delivered right first time, on time and in full. With a team of around 30, you'll be responsible for allocating resources, supporting continuous improvement, managing performance, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and motivating machine shop teams across MTO and MTS areas

  • Delivering production plans efficiently while ensuring safety and quality standards

  • Managing holidays, absences, appraisals (PDRs), and training

  • Driving continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration

  • Providing daily/weekly KPI updates to the Machining Manager

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong team leadership skills with a proactive, hands-on approach

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities

  • Manufacturing experience (machining a wood products prefered)

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and processes

  • First Aid qualification (or willingness to train)
