Job Title: Machine Fitter

Shift: Monday - Thursday 07:45 - 17:00 and Friday 07:45 - 12:30

Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 (Dependent on Experience)

Location: Leicestershire, LE8

The Company:

A world leader in drilling technology for cooling holes as applied to Jet Engines and Gas Turbines for energy production.

The Machine Fitter Role:

The Machine Fitter is a key member of the Production Team supporting the build and retrofit of CNC and automated machine systems.

The duties include:

  • Building and assembling CNC machines
  • Aligning ball screws, linear rails
  • Disassembly of machines and rebuild with new components
  • All machine and axis alignments
  • Working from engineering drawings
  • Meeting Environmental, Health and Safety and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements

The Candidate:

  • Experience of assembling mechanical assemblies relevant to CNC machine tools including pneumatics, hydraulics and/or pressure-based fluid systems.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and understand dimensions and geometric tolerances.
  • Hand scraping experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
  • Ethical and trustworthy.
