My Client is an expanding design consultancy who are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join their valuable team. In this role, you'll be pivotal to the business, leveraging your expertise in electronic design and embedded software. Joining a close-knit, focused team, you'll collaborate on the creation of innovative electronic products across diverse applications such as medical devices, wearables, and the Internet of Things.
Main Duties:
+ Define and develop new products using customer requirements
+ Work collaboratively within a team to deliver innovative solutions
+ Take charge of designing and creating custom electronic circuit boards.
+ Develop high-quality embedded software using C/C++.
+ Handle board bring-up, verification, and testing procedures.
+ Communicate effectively with customers
+ Occasional client meetings
+ Writing technical reports
Skills and Experience Required:
-
5-10 years experience in embedded software development
-
Relevant degree
-
Embedded C on microcontrollers
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Right to work in UK
Desirable experience:
-
Electronic Design
-
PCB layout
-
Experience with serial and wireless comms such as SPI, I2C, UART, BLE, WIFI

Experience with compliance for medical/automotive/safety critical industries

Customer facing experience

Consultancy background
The salary for this position will be circa £50,00 - £65,000 depending on experience.
