Logistics Support Executive
We are looking for two outstanding Logistics Executives to join an international specialist freight forwarding company, which provides innovative logistics solutions to clients worldwide. They specialise in providing support in dangerous and difficult to reach locations.
You will be joining an experienced, dynamic, supportive (and social!) team of 14 people, based in London. This will be a highly autonomous role - following a 6 month period working alongside a manager, you will then take ownership of your own client and contract workload.
You will provide an essential support and Order Management function, comprising the following key elements:
- Sourcing freight requirements
- Quoting clients
- Contract management
- Customer relationships
As such, you will be involved in arranging the movement of cargo via all modes of transport, including determining best means of transportation, clarifying client requirements, providing quotes and agreeing contracts. You will then provide ongoing contract management, liaising regularly with various clients regarding their shipments, providing tracking updates, resolving any issues and monitoring delivery progress. In addition, you will have responsibility for handling both sales and purchase invoices.
To be successful in this role, you will have 1-2 years freight logistics experience, with a good understanding of exporting. As such, international freight experience is a must. You will be customer/client-focussed, with a proven ability to provide an excellent customer experience and outstanding communication skills, including conflict resolution.
