Profile
We are lucky to be working with one of the world's leading manufacturers of Nickel, Titanium and Steel alloy forgings for the aerospace, defence and energy sectors. A vacancy has arisen for a Logistics Quality Co-ordinator to join their team based in Livingston. This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate who would like to build their career within an exciting and progressive manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities
  • Day to day co-ordination of freight and transport operations
  • Collate production, inspection and test information.
  • Co-ordination of test rings and input of results
  • Preparation and control of shipping documentation
  • Export Compliance
  • Must be available to work weekend at PCC month end and other overtime as required.
  • Preparation of Metallographic samples once trained."

Key Area Responsibilities
  • Liaise with shipping and transport providers to manage road/rail/sea/air freight of product.
  • Organisation of miscellaneous transport services for all activities
  • Work with shipping companies to make most efficient use of container and vehicle space and cost.
  • Produce all necessary certification and shipping documentation.
  • Maintain finished product records using Infoflo and other systems.
  • Ensure these systems are accurate and retrievable.
  • Participate in process improvements.
  • Liaise with sub-contractors and intra-company process personnel.
  • Participate in customer inspection documentation reviews.
  • Assist in the recording of spend against shipping budget and assist in identifying cost effective ways to provide shipping and transport requirements.
  • Represent the shipping team at production and other meetings.
