Position Overview: We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Locum Clinical Pharmacists (Band 6-8A) to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients, support multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the delivery of safe and effective healthcare services.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct medication reconciliation, review, and optimization to ensure safe and appropriate use of medications.
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services, including therapeutic drug monitoring, medication management, and patient counselling.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement pharmaceutical care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, ward rounds, and clinical audits to promote evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, professional standards, and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Mentored and supported junior pharmacy staff, including pharmacy technicians and pre-registration pharmacists.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Proven experience working as a Clinical Pharmacist in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Excellent clinical knowledge and expertise in pharmacotherapy and pharmaceutical care
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and quality improvement
