Are you a recent graduate and not sure what to do next? Or are you someone with a passion for making a positive impact in others’ lives?

We have an amazing opportunity for you to become a Personal Assistant to a student beginning their university journey studying Sports Management at Southampton Solent University.

Hours - approx.: Live in - 7 days on / 7 days off

Start Date: Early June 2024

Pay rate: £150 per day & Student support @ £10 per hour.

Our client is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant. Our client is in his third year at Southampton Solent University after having completed his foundation and first years studying Sports Management.

Our client has Cerebral Palsy, which mainly affects his mobility but also makes it difficult for him to do day to day tasks.

He will require your help with everyday tasks such as Personal care, dressing, cooking food, cleaning and general support. He does use a wheelchair but is able to walk short distances with his walking stick.

He also would like his PA to support him with organising his schedule and supporting his personal fitness plan (Supporting him with his exercises and accompanying him to the gym)

He is looking for a PA who can assist him with his university experience, supporting him to attend events, socialising with his friends and supporting him to lead an independent life!

Prior care experience is not required, all training will be provided but some experience is preferred.

About You

You are unlikely to have experience in every aspect of our client's care therefore full training in his particular needs is provided. An ideal applicant’s requirements are:

-You will need to be physically fit, calm, patient and caring

-Full UK driving licence is essential.

-Have the ability to commit to shifts (days, nights, weekends etc) Must be Flexible

-Fluent in the English Language

-Enjoy Social events, work and University

-Can carry out domestic tasks such as cleaning, ironing, washing and Cook ·Reliable and trustworthy

-Provide 'on call’ cover for absent colleague

-Non-Smoker

-You must be able to respect our client's privacy and have an understanding of the need for confidentiality in all areas of your work.

-Good organisational skills and being able to work on your own initiative

-Have a good sense of humour

-A mature and responsible attitude

-Excellent hearing and communication skills

-Be clean and tidy in both your appearance and ways.

-Be fully vaccinated
