As a Legal Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our legal professionals.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Reviewing Documents and Preparing Reports: Dive into case files, analyze evidence, and create concise reports that contribute to our legal strategy.
  • Dealing with Disclosure: Handle sensitive information with care, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Investigations and Witness Statements: Conduct thorough investigations, interview witnesses, and gather essential information.
  • Collaborating with Experts: Work closely with Counsel and other experts to build strong cases. Research and
  • Drafting: Dive into legal research, draft legal documents, and contribute to our legal arguments.
  • Attending Conferences and Trials: Be part of the action! Attend court proceedings and collaborate with our legal team.
  • Routine Correspondence and Court Appointments: Manage administrative tasks efficiently, including correspondence and court appointments.
  • Liaising with Insurers and Insureds: Build strong relationships with our clients and partners.
  • Compliance and Values: Uphold the highest standards of ethics, ensuring adherence to SRA Standards & Regulations and our Keoghs Values.

The File Handler is required to have experience of NIHL claims and to demonstrate an ability to deal with a caseload of litigated claims.

Compensation package

Salary discussed & disclosed on application, hybrid working 1 day per week in office remainder remote working, Health Care Cash Plan, Holidays 25 days plus 8 bank holidays (opportunity to buy & sell 3 days) increasing to 26 after 5 years’ service and to 27 after 10 years’ service, Death In Service - after 1 year, Employer Pension Contribution, Cycle to Work Scheme*, Tech Scheme*, Season Ticket Loan*, Gym Flex* (*after successfully completing probation)

Working Hours

35 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. Primary location for this role is our Coventry Office

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
